Formula Mazda Summer Sizzle Championship
Formula Mazda is thrilled to announce the inaugural Formula Mazda Summer Sizzle Presented by MK Technologies, an exclusive two-event, four-race summer championship that will bring the Formula Mazda FMzR machinery to two of the most celebrated road courses on the continent. The series will visit Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, and Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama, offering competitors a premium open-wheel experience at world-class venues.
The Formula Mazda Summer Sizzle is designed to celebrate the next generation model of one of North America’s most beloved open-wheel platforms. The FMzR — known for its responsive handling, reliable performance, and competitive racing — remains a favorite among drivers who value a pure, driver-focused experience. The Summer Sizzle will give both seasoned veterans and aspiring pros the opportunity to compete for a championship title across two unforgettable race weekends.

2026 Formula Mazda Challenge Schedule
The Formula Mazda Challenge is the organized semi-pro series for Formula Mazda competition within SCCA. It is designed for drivers who want a focused championship environment, strong competition, and a place to race with fellow Formula Mazda competitors in a structured series setting. The series is built to serve both the serious racing enthusiast and the aspiring professional, offering meaningful seat time, competitive racing, and a professional atmosphere without the cost of traditional pro racing.
In addition to the Formula Mazda Challenge, both the FMzR and original FM can also be raced at SCCA events across the country, giving drivers the freedom to compete in the series, race independently, or do both.
